Located in Olympia, Washington, the MSCSS exists to create a welcoming and inclusive community space for individuals and organizations in the South Puget Sound serving immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers by providing culturally competent services, outreach, education, and advocacy.
To achieve this aim, we work with like-minded businesses, nonprofit organizations, and governmental entities to serve this often-underserved population as they migrate into our midst and integrate into life throughout the South Sound. Whether it's in Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater, Rochester, Yelm, Rainier, or Tenino, we believe in assisting and augmenting existing programs.
Our initial focus will be on providing practical programs, such as English classes and citizenship preparation, to those in need, along with mentorship, consultation, and the facilitation of volunteer training. MSCSS currently offers:
